THE GREEN WAREHOUSE, 2020

The Green Warehouse is a generic mass clad in corrugated metal efficiently lit by ribbon windows, with an axial greenhouse void down the center. The two simple forms conflict with each other, the growing unexpectedly occurs in the solid mass while office space is elevated into the wide glass corridor above. Assisted with grow lights, the Green Warehouse doesn’t lay docile and receive daylight like a typical greenhouse. Instead, it emits a ray of sunshine independent from inclement weather. A sublime beacon to accompany the
bright lights and shining seal of Kean University on Hynes Hall nearby.

Completed in two booklets, this studio project followed the typical process of a professional project. It includes building design, site analysis, architecture firm/brand, client communication, and construction drawings.
